Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of annual campaign fund literature, promotional fliers and brochures, reports, invitations and programs for miscellaneous events and an organizational chart. The documents in the collection describe the activities of the American Histadrut Cultural Exchange Institute and the Histadrut Development Foundation. Of particular interest to researchers will be the extensive memorandum concerning the activities of the National Labor Committee for Palestine.

Biographical Note
Histadrut was founded in 1920 and is the largest labor union and voluntary organization in Israel. It is the largest Jewish labor organization in the world. "Histadrut is open to all Jewish working men and women who live by their own labor...without exploiting the labor of others.".
